Community Guidelines

Afterly exists to give trans and gender-diverse people a space for authentic connection. These guidelines protect that space for everyone.

Last updated: March 1, 2026

Our Commitment

Afterly was built specifically for the transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse community. We take safety and inclusion seriously. These guidelines apply to all content and interactions on Afterly — profiles, photos, messages, calls, and any other feature.

Violations can result in content removal, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban. Severe violations (CSAM, threats of violence, non-consensual content) are reported to law enforcement.

1. Be Authentic

  • Use your real photos — only post photos of yourself
  • Do not catfish, impersonate, or misrepresent your identity
  • Profiles must represent a real individual — no bots, fake accounts, or business profiles
  • Be honest about your intentions — respect others' time and emotions
  • Do not copy another person's profile photos or bio

2. Be Respectful

  • Treat every member with dignity, regardless of their identity, body, or appearance
  • No harassment, hate speech, slurs, or derogatory language targeting any group
  • Transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, and all forms of discrimination are not tolerated
  • Do not deadname or misgender members intentionally
  • No unsolicited sexual messages — always get consent before sending explicit content
  • Take "no" for an answer — continued contact after rejection is harassment
  • Do not threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone on or off the platform

3. Keep It Safe — Photo & Content Rules

Allowed profile photos:

  • Clear, recent photos showing your face
  • Tasteful, fully-clothed or appropriately covered images
  • Photos you personally own the rights to

Not allowed anywhere on Afterly:

  • Nudity or explicit sexual content on public profile photos
  • Any sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance, immediately reported to NCMEC and law enforcement
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn")
  • Graphic violence, gore, or content designed to shock
  • Weapons displayed in a threatening manner
  • Content promoting eating disorders, self-harm, or suicide
  • Watermarked content from other dating apps or platforms
AI photo moderation reviews all uploaded content. Manual review is triggered for flagged content. We act quickly — usually within 24 hours of a report.

4. No Spam or Solicitation

  • No promotional messages, advertising, or solicitation of any kind
  • No requests for money, gift cards, crypto, or financial information
  • No sending of links to external sites unless relevant and welcomed by the recipient
  • No operating a business, escorting service, or commercial activity through Afterly
  • No automated scripts, bots, or fake engagement

5. Privacy Matters

  • Do not share another user's personal information (real name, address, phone number, workplace) without their consent
  • Do not screenshot or share private conversations or photos outside the app
  • Do not record video/voice calls without the other person's knowledge and consent
  • Respect that some users choose to keep their gender identity, medical history, or other details private

6. Reporting & Enforcement

If you encounter someone who violates these guidelines, please use the in-app report button on their profile or message. Our trust and safety team reviews every report.

Enforcement actions we may take:

  • Content removal
  • Warning and education message
  • Temporary suspension (1–30 days)
  • Permanent ban with device-level restrictions
  • Reporting to law enforcement for criminal content

You may appeal a moderation decision by emailing contact@chasersocialllc.com within 30 days. Include your username and a brief explanation.

7. A Note on Our Community

Afterly explicitly welcomes trans women, trans men, non-binary people, intersex people, genderfluid individuals, and everyone across the gender spectrum — along with the people who authentically admire and love them. We have zero tolerance for members who join to demean, fetishize, or harm trans people.

If you find the app being used in a way that harms our community, please tell us. We depend on our members to help us maintain the space we've all built together.
